Walter F. Koza, SC2c Mario Petroni, GM2c Harry A. Parker, GM3c Walter Koza and Mario Petroni were assigned to the USS BUSH on her commissioning date, May 10, 1943. Gunner's Mate Harry Parker reported to BUSH at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on December 8, 1943. All three were still aboard when the BUSH was struck and sunk by three Japanese kamikaze planes on April 6, 1945. Walter Koza and Mario Petroni survived the sinking. Harry Parker died with the BUSH. The ratings shown for these men were their ratings as of April 6, 1945. |
