| Above, the USS BUSH lies at anchor in Dutch Harbor, which is located about 800 miles southwest of Anchorage, Alaska along the Aleutian Island chain. After her shakedown cruise, the BUSH spent her first months (late 1943) participating in the Aleutian campaign. |
